Want to improve your magazine articles? Keep on writing until you can master how to write well in just a short matter of time.

As of writing for a magazine or any publications that requires public interest, you need a very creative mind, an interesting content and be an editor to your own writing to make it a well written and effective one.

If you are not used in writing and your keep on committing a lot of writing mistakes such as your grammars, spellings and other technical errors in writing, you better start shaking in your seats since your work can’t really pass an editor scrutiny if you submit it.

However, you can still correct all those bad writing all by yourself by following some techniques and rules in writing.

Basically, when you write, you always end up dealing with your thoughts and how you understand the topic well. If you don’t really know what your topic is all about and you think it will be hard for you to understand it, then this will only cause you some troubles n writing.

You need to befriend with your subject in writing as this will help you motivate your insights about it. you can’t write further especially if you are stuck in the middle on you writing or whether there are no words that will come out in your mind.

A thorough research is just the right thing to do and as you write and complete your content, that’s the right time to edit your work before submitting it.

These tips have been culled right from the advice of editors at major publications who go through piles of submissions before churning out every issue.

1. Always explain yourself.  If you’re going to insinuate an idea, you have to explain your reasoning behind it.  No reader will accept your opinions at face value.  If you say that a popular personality appears in good spirits, for instance, no reader will take your word for it – you’ll have to describe what brought you to that conclusion.

2. Put a value on your sentences.  Does every sentence on every paragraph do something to move the piece forward?  If it does, then its valuable.  Otherwise, you can afford to lose it without any loss.  The more valuable your sentences are, the more solid your writing becomes.

3. Everyone loves a good story.  Both readers and editors love a story.  That’s why anecdotes and other story bits dropped in can do so much to give color to you writing.

4. Quote authoritative sources.  Good writers throw in quotes from experts for good reason – they help sway the reader’s opinion like no other argument.  People do respect authoritative individuals who have the credentials to back them up, so always find resource persons you can quote directly.

5. Clean up your writing.  Even the best writers can falter, especially when working on a deadline.  That’s why we recommend using the most comprehensive writing software to scope out your work before turning it in.  Mechanical mistakes are avoidable.  With the right software for the job, it’s usually just one button press away.
