Although no one can promise you that you will surely get your ex back since it depends on individual situation, a break up doesn't have to mean the end of a relationship.

"People want what they do not or cannot easily have."

I believe that you have probably come across this principle before, at one point in time. Basically, it just means that if people do not have something, or if they cannot lay their hand on something easily, they will have more desire for it.

On the other hand, if you have a lot of something or you can easily lay your hand on something, then your desire for it will not be as strong. You will even tend to take it for granted.

In fact, you may even try to push it away from you. Let's look at an example.

For example, when a person is poor and cannot afford to abalone, his desire for abalone will be quite high. A typical example of people wanting what they do not have.

However, if that person becomes rich and can afford to eat it everyday, he will start to take it for granted. Of course, his desire will have dropped.
